Applications for enrolments for Prep and other year levels are now open at St Thomas More.
Offering a high quality Catholic education, St Thomas More Primary School educates children from Prep to Year 6 and focuses on the whole person.
At the heart of their education are the values of respect, honesty, tolerance, cooperation, and a genuine concern for the welfare of others, and the school is open to families who share those values and who want their children to experience a Catholic Christian community.
The dedicated teachers and staff work collaboratively to prepare and deliver a rich curriculum that caters for individual abilities and interests. This happens within a secure learning environment where children are nurtured and cared for so that they become self-motivated, life-long learners. It is a well-resourced curriculum, with high priority placed on the use of technology as a contemporary tool to enhance teaching and learning.
Many opportunities for involvement and development of sporting and cultural pursuits are offered at St Thomas More Primary School, and the student’s enthusiastic and positive participation in these areas highlights the school spirit, so evident in the classrooms. Students have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument, join the band, and participate in the choir. Students can participate in a wide range of sports, with a high number of students selected for further representation at district, zone and state levels.
Parent participation and partnership is highly encouraged and valued at St Thomas More Primary School. Parents have many opportunities to be involved in the school in many areas, such as a classroom helper, Learning Support helper, Tuckshop worker, the School Pastoral Board, Pastoral Care groups, sporting and social events, and with the annual school fete.
The Family Spirit is a key part of the Marist Catholic Charism and can be seen in the way every student is valued and welcomed, nurtured and challenged at the school.
