Pre-Prep

The Pre-Prep Centre is proudly part of the Queensland Government Kindergarten Approved program with its own purpose-built centre in Coopers Plains, two minutes from the main College campus.

Our educational, play-based program prepares students for Prep by developing pre-numeracy, pre-literacy and social skills with many opportunities to enjoy the spontaneity of ‘free play’. Our qualified and experienced Director and staff all hold a degree in Early Childhood Education.

Our Pre-Prep Centre offers both five-day-week and  five-day-fortnight options, 8am to 4pm operating hours and a school holiday program. The Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate are also available for eligible families.

Primary School: Prep  – Year 6

The Primary School ensures that students have essential educational foundations firmly in place so, in later years, they can build onto this strong foundation capable of supporting their talents and dreams.

Behind the scenes lies a well-structured program that is regularly updated by caring and diligent staff.  Weekly Chinese lessons and gymnastics classes as well as music tuition and swimming lessons add variety to the school day.

Initiatives supporting our Primary School students include optional after school Tutoring and Homework supervision, the English as a Second Language tuition and the Learning Enrichment Program with the College’s Gifted and Talented Committee continuously looking for additional ways to inspire exceptional and capable students.

Middle School: Years 7 – 9

The aim of the Middle School is to provide a supportive and gradual transition for students during this period of growth.

Students are supported as they move confidently from a single teacher and classroom to many, as preparation for the different Senior School learning environment.

Students are given greater authority to decide on the direction their schooling will take and subjects offered prepare students to later embark on either an Academic or Apprenticeship Pathway within the Pathway of Excellence Program in their Senior years.

Strong bonds are formed between students and staff as they explore the National Capital and Outback Queensland as part of our exciting Middle School program.

Senior School: Years 10-12

With the support of teaching and administrative staff, students in the Senior School work diligently to prepare for further education and the world of work.

Students are prepared for life beyond the classroom and are held accountable by their peers and teachers through daily House Tutor Group meetings. Relevant subject,  co-curricular and outdoor learning opportunities, extension classes and university or apprenticeship opportunities in Year 11 and 12 all equip our students to succeed.

Senior School students are able to enhance their computer literacy skills, needed to meet the study requirements of the Academic and Apprenticeship Pathway, with the provision of take-home Netbooks and learning software.
