What kind of family group would be attracted to this park? parent/carer and toddler, the typical family group, two or more teenagers, an elderly couple... the list goes on.
The atmosphere in this park is really impressive, especially as the review was made on a hot day over the holiday period.
There were people in swimming in the calm water, or relaxing on the sandy river bank. Children able to find some playground fun in spite of the crowd.
There were families enjoying the picnic facilities. There were youngsters on scooters and skate boards enjoying the wide paths without threatening the safety of others. There were more energetic joggers, pausing at the fitness equipment as they traversed the park from one end to the other. Some children put on their own show on the open outdoor stage.
Other groups took advantage of the ferry rides on the river, and older children hired the canoes, or hired boats for fishing or cruising.
Small things count - there are bins throughout the park, and it is to be hoped that a lesson can be learnt by children that recycling is just as important as litter disposal. This is just one of the features which shows that much thought has gone into the planning of this park.
When you have the time, prepare to spend up to a whole day at Lions Noosaville Park - it's a beauty! Unfortunately, there were so many people there that not one pelican could be seen but its not unusual to spot one or more here on any given day.
There is a number of on street and off street parking spots availble within close proximity of this park.
