Centrelink, Medicare And Child Support Changes Now In Force

Millions of people around Australia will be affected by changes occurring across Centrelink, the Child Support Agency and Medicare from July.

Key changes include:
• Same sex couples are now recognised as a de facto couple
• The upper income thresholds for Family Tax Benefits and the Baby Bonus will remain stable for three years
• Salary-sacrificed superannuation contributions and net losses from financial investments will be added to a parent’s adjusted taxable income for child support.
