Millions of people around Australia will be affected by changes occurring across Centrelink, the Child Support Agency and Medicare from July.
Key changes include:
• Same sex couples are now recognised as a de facto couple
• The upper income thresholds for Family Tax Benefits and the Baby Bonus will remain stable for three years
• Salary-sacrificed superannuation contributions and net losses from financial investments will be added to a parent’s adjusted taxable income for child support.
