Lifeline Shop at South Tweed turns one
The Lifeline Shop at South Tweed turns one on Saturday, December 8 and is celebrating the exciting milestone with a 50% off First Birthday Sale. Customers can expect bargains, discounts and more bargains on the day on all clothing and pre-loved furniture. Value for money on excellent quality, donated items will be the highlight of the First Birthday Sale.
The First Birthday Sale will emphasize the fact that recycled or second hand clothing and furniture is an excellent option when looking to update the home or wardrobe. Environmentally aware customers love the fact that they are helping to keep good quality, second hand items out of landfill.
“You can tell the shoppers that have an environmental conscience as they are quite open about their views while in the shop,” said Trudi Maxwell, Business Retail Coordinator.
“Most eco-shoppers can’t believe the quality of the clothing, furniture and anything else they find in our shops. They’re aware that they are doing something worthwhile for the environment and local community and in fact, they are. South Tweed is a particular hotspot for the eco-friendly shopper,” said Trudi.
South Tweed’s diligent and committed staff and volunteers are gearing up for the First Birthday Sale event and are looking forward to welcoming the eager customers to their shop. The sale which will raise much needed funds for Lifeline and UnitingCare Community counseling and support services, will highlight the fresh and vibrant store and will even provide customers with the option of tackling some of their Christmas shopping.
“We have so many good quality clothing and pre-loved furniture items that it will be a great opportunity for customers to find something they like that is affordable. People could even start their Christmas Shopping! Buying second hand presents for friends and family has become quite popular and helps support that sense of giving and warm heartedness at Christmas time. A second hand gift can provide a sense of charitable goodwill for both the giver and the receiver,” said Trudi Maxwell, Lifeline Retail Coordinator.
The First Birthday 50% Off Sale is on Saturday December 8 from 8:30am until 4pm at the Lifeline Shop at 9 Greenway Drive, South Tweed. All money raised from the sale will go to help support counseling and support services that Lifeline and UnitingCare Community provide free to those in need in our communities.
