A Pennsylvania restaurant has ignited a local controversy after banning children under the age of six. Owner Mike Vuick said his restaurant was not a “kid-oriented place” and sent an email to patrons to inform them of the policy change.
Mr Vuick said the volume of young children could not be controlled and had “many, many times disturbed other customers”. Mr Vuick said he does not expect the policy change to impact his business, but locals expressed divided opinions. According to the American Civil Liberties Union, the ban does not violate any anti-discrimination laws.
